Welcome to my on-line office.
When considering the counselors you will choose in helping with your mortgage for a Real Estate purchase, it is imperative that you work with experienced and knowledgeable individuals. Therefore, I would like to take just a second to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me and how I can help you through a most difficult phase of acquiring your mortgage for buying a home.
In 1986, I graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BS degree, majoring in accounting . Fortunately, I was ambitious enough to take and pass all parts of the CPA exam in the same sitting.
I practiced accounting as a CPA for 10 years. Since that time, I have amassed a successful record in financial management and accounting. My passion for the game of golf was leading me toward a career in golf management.
Taking a leap of faith, I sold my private accounting practice and joined forces with a friend of mine who was also a CPA and a golf pro. As a CPA and PGA member, I was able to work as a club pro for 12 years when the opportunity arose to work as club pro for a course managed by the Arnold Palmer Golf Management Company, Eagle's Landing Golf Course in Sevierville. Eagle's Landing Golf Course is owned by the city of Sevierville and was built to accommodate both the local golf enthusiast and the tourist alike. Their intentions were to operate in a more upscale resort manner, emulating golf communities such as Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Island. The golf business is a dynamic business for teaching the true meaning of customer service. I have grown to believe that in customer service, you must give quick and honest assistance, not only in business but in all of life's endeavors.
My education and overall experiences coupled with the growth within Sevier County, I felt the time was perfect to enter into another "people" business, the growing mortgage industry. The mortgage business is a perfect fit for me because I can call upon all of my business and golf management skills to create successful arrangements for the client and the lending institution. I'm currently an owner of Mortgage Loan Corporation, founded by Sarah Gamble, whose roots trace back over 33 years in the mortgage business. Mortgage Loan Corporation has been in Sevier County since 1993 serving Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and surrounding areas.
My civic activities include past trustee of the City of Sevierville's Money Purchase Retirement Plan, past president of the Knoxville Chapter PGA and member of the Tennessee Section PGA Board of Directors. I serve on the Executive Committee of the Smoky Mountain Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and as chairman of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's "Hackin for Habitat" Golf Tournament. I have also served on the board of the Knox Area Junior Golf and First Tee program and I am an associate member of the Great Smoky Mountains Board of Realtors.
A few personal notes. I have a lovely wife of 20 years and a 19-year old daughter, who was an honors student at Sevier County High School. I play the banjo, guitar, mandolin, and cello, but not very well. I enjoy playing golf, hiking, fishing, and music. My family are active members of Saint Joseph the Carpenter Episcopal Church on Hardin Lane in Sevierville.
